For the second year in a row, some East Texas schools are listed among 200 schools in the state for not meeting federal imporvement standards.

Now, these schools must offer parents the option to transfer their children to another campus, at the school's expense.

John Tyler, Jacksonville High Dchool, along with Azleway Charter School in Tyler and Compass Center, an alternative school in Jacksonville must send a letter to parents explaining their options by today.

The 2001 federal "No Child Left Behind Act" says schools receiving federal title one funds are required to show "adequate yearly progress."
