LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Longview police have learned more information about a Saturday night shooting that left one person in the hospital.

Police say the shooting, which occurred in the 400 block of East Birdsong Street in Longview, left Riccardo Duran Rivera, 29, injured. Rivera was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

According to Kristi Brian with the Longview Police Department, police believe the victim and suspect probably knew each other. Police do not think the shooting is gang or drug-related.

No arrests have been made, but police have identified a suspect. All they will say at this time is that the suspect is male.
