Falcons head coach Mike Smith said team doctors checked Jones out Monday night and the first reports were not encouraging.

In a press conference earlier this week, Smith said of Jones: "He'll be a hard guy to replace if we have to replace him."

Jones led the NFL in receptions prior to his injury with 41 catches for 580 yards and 2 touchdowns through the first five games.

The Falcons also announced the signing of wide receiver Brian Robiskie.

Robiskie was drafted 36th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2009 NFL draft out of Ohio State.  He has appeared in 37 games for the Browns and Detroit Lions.
