Hurricane Jeanne has left much of Florida without power and for the second time in less than two weeks some East Texans are heading East to help out.
Early Tuesday morning 160 TXU Electric Delivery employees gathered for a two day drive to central Florida.
The crew will work to restore power to almost one million customers. The workers will face dangerous conditions and long hours, but said they're more than willing to help out other power companies.
"They've assisted us especially during the June storms in getting services restored to our customers and we're trying to reciprocate," said Eastern Region Manager Michael Navarro. "Anything we can do to provide assistance to help the customers and the utilities that's our primary goal.
The crew expects to be in Florida for the next 14 days.
Officials said parts of central Florida have been without power for the last several weeks.
