RAINS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

More details about the capture of an inmate who escaped an East Texas jail last week have emerged.

Crystal Marie Robinson is being held in the Garza County Jail on charges of failure to identify as a fugitive from justice, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with an invalid license.

Robinson escaped from police custody on September 24 and was apprehended in Garza County on Sunday. Garza County authorities responded to a reported domestic dispute between a male and female at a roadside park on Sunday. When police arrived, both suspects fled in a stolen Ford Focus. A chase ensued, but authorities were able to catch both suspects after they attempted to bail out of the vehicle.

That man has been identified as 30-year-old Nathan Martin, who is also from Rains County. Investigators believe Martin met up with Robinson sometime after she stole a Ford F-150 from Quinlan, shortly after she escaping from Rains County Jail. The two soon abandoned the F-150 and stole a Ford Focus from Cumby, driving nearly 400 miles West to flee authorities.

Upon her arrest, Robinson lied to police, giving them a false identification. She instead used one of her known aliases, which was on record in Rains County. Garza County officials were able to identify Robinson as an escaped inmate once they ran her alias through the system.

Robinson fled out a side door of the Rains County Courthouse annex building at 9:46 a.m on September, 24. She was due in court for a probation hearing, when she was able to slip away- still in handcuffs and without shoes.

Martin faces charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Garza County. Both Martin and Robinson are expected to be transported back to Rains County following hearings on their charges in West Texas.
