Browns owner Jimmy Haslam addressed problems of a rebate scandal at his family business Pilot Flying J on Monday morning.

Trucking companies from across the nation accused Pilot of pocketing money from rebate fuel sales that was owned to them.

"I would like to tell you, in detail, everything I know," Haslam said.

"It's disappointing, embarrassing and infuriating at times, but I've been inspired by how much good comes out of adversity," Haslam added.

Haslam started things off by making sure everybody knows that Pilot Flying J has paid back all of the 400 trucking companies that were owed money with interest. He also talked about going even further back with an audit in his company's history, back to more records, to double-check everything is okay.

25 people were working around the clock to make sure all 400 trucking companies were paid back if Pilot owed them money. Haslam brought in 60 people to do an audit on his company back to 2005. They went through years and stacks of documents to make sure every single customer wasn't short changed a penny.

"We did it with every single customer that we had any type of rebate or discount relationship during that time period," Haslam said. "That totals almost 7,000 customers."

Haslam also said he would love to answer questions from the media, but right now he can't. He's got that FBI investigation and those federal lawsuits to deal with, too.
