Two people confirmed dead after Palestine fire

PALESTINE, TX (KLTV) -

Two people have been confirmed dead following a fire in Palestine.

The fire started at around 12 o'clock last night in the 100 block of East Oak Street. Officials say the deceased are a male and female, but have not yet released their identities.

According to the fire chief, the building that once stood there was a thrift store. Officials have not yet determined a cause to this fire nor have they released a cause of death with the two victims. Their bodies have been sent off for an autopsy.
