The link between healthcare and local property taxes

The Tyler City Council voted today to raise property taxes by more than 7%.  A lot of different factors went into making that decision but we knew one, in particular, would interest you.  The city is raising money because city leaders want to make sure Tyler has enough money to cover any changes in healthcare costs.  Tonight at 10, Mitch Goulding will have a new report on how big of an impact healthcare is expected to make on next year's budgets for Tyler and Longview.

We had the honor of being there as a 100 year-old Tyler woman crossed a biggie off of her bucket list.  Lexie Cook will show you how today's ride was full of hot air and that's just what the adventurer wanted.

Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto is joining us with a brand new forecast.  Make sure you watch so you know exactly what to expect from the weather where you live for the next few days.
