USFS conducting controlled burn in Angelina National Forest
LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
Rangers with the U.S. Forest Service will be conducting a 70-acre controlled
burn in Compartment 52 of the Angelina National Forest Wednesday.
According to an e-mail from the U.S. Forest Service, residents near the burn
area were personally contacted by USFS personnel and informed about the
controlled burn. If no personal contact was possible, they left letters
informing the residents of their intentions.
The Angelina National Forest is one of four National Forests in Texas. The
153,179-acre National Forest includes Angelina, Nacogdoches, San Augustine, and
