ETX boy battling West Nile meningitis back in hospital

Posted: Updated:
LINDALE, TX (KLTV) -

The Lindale boy battling West Nile Meningitis is back in a Dallas hospital.

13-year-old Wade Gamblin is being treated in an intensive care unit after spending months at home with his family.

Wade's parents say all he has done is sleep for the last several weeks, barely opening his eyes or giving any kind of communication.

They say doctors are running tests to try and figure out why Wade is suddenly sick again.

Wade was diagnosed with West Nile Meningitis last November. He spent months in a coma at a Dallas hospital and was finally brought home in May.

Wade was smiling and making great progress until this recent setback.
