2. An East Texas business is standing up for 2nd amendment rights in response to the recent Starbucks statement asking gun owners not to bring weapons into Starbucks stores. KLTV's Melanie Torre went to Mineola today to speak with company management to hear what they had to say. You can see that story this evening on East Texas News at 5.

3. Burn bans are still in effect across East Texas, and those who normally burn their trash in rural areas because they don't have city trash pick ups are now having to find alternative ways to pick up their trash. What are the alternatives?

4. It's Hunger Action Week, and we are working to help the East Texas Food Bank get stocked up with food that is desperately needed to feed hungry East Texans. You can help! Watch at 4, 5 and 6 as KLTV's Mark Scirto and Taylor Hemness join us live from the food dropoff location at Brookshires on Rice Road in Tyler.

5. According to Chief Paul Findley of the Tyler Fire Department, an employee working on the tenth floor of the Plaza Tower building downtown received a call from an unknown person around 10:40 Thursday morning.
