HEBRON, KY (FOX19) -

Dozens of Tri-State veterans departed from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Tuesday morning on the Honor Flight.

The program is a non-profit organization which flies World War II and Korean War veterans to see their memorials in Washington D.C. at no cost.

Tuesday's 8 a.m. flight was the fourth from CVG this year. Veterans and their guardians visited several D.C. sights, including the World War II memorial, Korean War memorial, Vietnam War memorial, Iwo Jima memorial and the US Air Force memorial.

Bag pipes from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, an Honor Guard ceremony and other special remarks took place before the departure.

The final Honor Flight for 2013 is scheduled for October 22.
