A country music star is once again asking East Texans to support his annual charity event that draws big stars.
East Texan Neal McCoy will be hosting his 19th annual East Texas Angel Network concert later this month. McCoy's event has raised money for nearly two decades to help families and their children who suffer from debilitating illnesses. McCoy's concerts have featured acts like Charlie Pride, Jack Hannah and the Dallas cowboys cheerleaders. But its the cause that is close to the singer's heart.
"What we really want to let folks know is we're bringing really great talent and its fun and we want them to come buy a ticket and enjoy themselves , but even more important than that , their money is going to go to children right here in East Texas with life threatening or serious illness or life challenging illnesses. To help them and their families with expenses and that's what its all about, its knowing that you're coming out and you're helping folks right here in East Texas," Neal says.
The Angel Network golf tournament will be held at Woodhollow golf course on September 27th.The 19th East Texas Angel Network concert will be held on September 28th at the Belcher center on the Letourneau University campus in Longview.
