Bistroll's spicy mayo and sweet eel sauce

John Cheng from Bistroll's on the square in downtown Tyler shares his special recipes for spicy mayo and for sweet eel sauce and will show you in the video exactly what you can do with them!

Spicy Mayo

Add desired amount of Sriracha sauce to mayonnaise.

Sweet Eel Sauce

1 cup of sake or mirin (rice extract)

1 cup of soy sauce

2 cups of sugar

½ cup of water

2 Tbs. of corn starch

  1. Bring the top three ingredients to a boil, and then reduce heat to low.
  2. Mix the corn starch with water very well and add it to the sauce.
  3. Simmer on low for 30 minutes or until desired thickness.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
