Henderson man arrested for possession of marijuana

HENDERSON, TX (KLTV) -

A Henderson man was arrested after authorities searched a residence in the city.

34-year-old Corey "Ewok" Edwards was arrested on Thursday when the Rusk County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Brown Street in Henderson. During the search, deputies found a green leafy substance that was believed to be marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia, money and prescription medication. 

Deputies also confiscated a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle that was stolen from Bell County, TX. 

Edwards was booked into the Rusk County Jail on charges of marijuana possession. Additional narcotics charges as well as charges of possession of the stolen motorcycle are pending.

The Rusk County Sheriff's Office, Henderson Police Department and Rusk County District Attorney all assisted in the investigation.
