Morris County officially under burn ban

MORRIS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Morris County has joined 21 other East Texas counties officially under burn bans.

Morris County Judge Lynda Munkres declared a burn ban effective for the county beginning Thursday.

Outdoor grilling is allowed, but Labor Day revelers should be reminded that a lid must be covering any open flames.

Hunt, Frank, Titus, Cass, Marion, Upshur, Camp, Kaufman, Henderson, Smith, Gregg, Rusk, Panola, Anderson, Nacogdoches, Shelby, San Augustine, Sabine, Angelina, Trinity and Houston Counties are all under a burn ban at this time.
