Brandon D-Line: Trifecta of terror

BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Brandon is the top ranked team in the state for a number of reasons, none maybe more important than their dominant defensive line.

The Bulldogs have a trifecta of terror up front in senior defensive ends, Kyle Strickland and Michael Brooks, with junior defensive tackle Fletcher Adams squeezed in the middle. All are division one caliber players who made some huge plays in the win last Thursday over Madison Central.

Last season the trio were a big key in helping Brandon reach the 6A title game. In 2012 Strickland had 105 tackles, 9 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. Brooks had 131 tackles, 11 for loss and 10 sacks. While Adams had 136 tackles, 14 for loss and 6 sacks.

Next up for the big three is the Rankin Co. rivalry game with Pearl.
