HENDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

He was there to install a new satellite TV system, but it is what he tried to leave with that made this a job definitely not well done.

According to Henderson County Sheriff Ray Nutt, a DirecTV installer was arrested after attempting to take a wedding ring from a home he was working in. 20-year-old Steven Jemelle Walsh was arrested for theft of property over $1,500.

Henderson County Deputy Josh Rickman responded to a reported theft at 6:23 p.m. Friday at a home in Coffee City. Upon arrival, the homeowners informed the deputy that the female resident's wedding ring had gone missing from a jewelry box in the bedroom.

Walsh was inside their home installing a DirecTV system during the time that the ring went missing and was still working inside the home at the time of the deputy's arrival. Through investigation, Rickman found Walsh in possession of the wedding ring and it was returned to the female victim. He had taken the ring out of the jewelry box while working in the bedroom.

Walsh was arrested at the home and taken to the Henderson County Jail. His bond has been set at $10,000. He is employed by an independent DirecTV installation company in Dallas.
