East Texas man shot as he answered front door, suspect at large
LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -
Local police are investigating after a man was shot at his home Sunday night.
According to the Longview Police Department, 40-year-old Michael Boyd of Longview was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after an unknown suspect shot him. Officers responded to a shooting at Boyd's residence in the 300 block of Hughes Street just after 11 p.m.
Boyd told authorities that he opened the door and someone shot him. He was able to call 911 himself. When officers arrived, they found him lying on the floor inside the home.
