LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A woman faces several charges including endangerment of the welfare of a minor.

Police said they pulled over Ronesha Offutt, 25, of Louisville, in a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo around 10:30 p.m. Friday because she had a child in her lap.

According to an arrest report, the woman put the child in the back set while getting pulled over. Police said children ages 3, 5 and 6 were in the car and when officers approached it, it smelled strongly of marijuana.

Offutt appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic, police said. They found a bag of marijuana in the car.

In addition to the charge of endangering the welfare of a minor, Offutt is also charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana.
