Twenty-five years behind bars for an 18-year-old East Texas man.
Joshua Boaz pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced today. He was convicted in last year's shooting death of a 21-year-old man, Leslie Dobbs.
According to the Smith County District Attorney's office, it happened at the home of a mutual acquaintance. A verbal argument apparently escalated and led to the shooting.
Boaz was 16 at the time, but was certified to stand trial as an adult. He'll be eligible for parole after serving 12.5 years.
