East Texas police make K2, meth arrests

KILGORE, TX (KLTV) -

A suspicious vehicle investigation by East Texas authorities soon turned into two drug-related arrests.

According to the Kilgore Police Department, 36-year-old Javier Gabriel Garcia and 25-year-old Kristen Le Strader, both of Longview, were arrested August 18.

Police responded to a suspicious vehicle report at Synergy Park located near Highway 259. Officer Josh Vocher located a Ford Expedition and found Garcia and Strader inside. Further investigation revealed Garcia was in possession of synthetic marijuana, also known as K2, and Strader was in possession of 7.3 grams of methamphetamine

Garcia is charged with possession of synthetic marijuana and Stader is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both were booked into the Kilgore City Jail.
