Three taken to hospital after wreck on Highway 259

UPSHUR COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Highway 259 in Upshur County has been reopened after an accident Monday afternoon.

According to the Upshur County Sheriff's Department, three people were transported to a local hospital after a wreck at the intersection of Highway 259 and Farm-to-Market 726. This intersection is five miles south of Ore City.

The sheriff's department and Ore City Volunteer Fire Department responded to the accident which occurred just after 2 p.m. Traffic on Highway 259 was stopped for a short time Monday but is now moving.

The condition of those injured is unknown at this time.
