Multiple crews contain ten acre fire in Wood Co.

WOOD COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Ten acres have been burned in a fire that started Monday morning.

According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the fire started off of County Road 3588 in Wood County, six miles northwest of Gilmer.

The forest service, Harmony, Holly Lake, and Perryville Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the blaze. The fire burned around ten acres before crews could contain it.

The blaze has been extinguished, but the forest service is staying on scene to monitor hot spots.
