SUN CITY, AZ (CBS5) -

A 90-year-old woman and her grandson were identified as the two people killed in a house fire in Sun City on Saturday night, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.

Florence Brinner and Timothy Brinner, 49, died in the fire that broke out just after 10 p.m. in the area of 132nd Avenue and Pomegranate Drive, according to an MCSO news release Monday morning.

"I didn't actually see flames, just smoke," said neighbor Jay Goetting. "It's kind of scary having the whole situation going down a few doors away."

MCSO spokesman Joaquin Enriquez said MCSO arson detectives began an investigation at 8 a.m. Sunday to determine what sparked the fire, but they had ruled out foul play.

Fire investigators said the fire started in a room near the garage..

"Every room was gutted," Enriquez said.
