GILBERT, AZ (CBS5) -

Gilbert police said a man they arrested is the prime suspect in two shootings Saturday night.

Jhaquel Delvon Will Lewis, 20, was arrested and booked into jail on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of a drive-by shooting, according to police.

Two people were wounded by the gunfire at two different locations, according to Lt. Jesse Sanger of the Gilbert Police Department.

Officers found a party attended by as many as 100 people when they arrived at Betsy Court and Palm Street after reports of gunfire around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Officers said witnesses reported 20 to 30 shots had been fired.

Police found an injured woman in a car that was leaving the scene. She was taken to a nearby hospital, treated and released.

Officers later received a second call north of the first shooting at a Shell gas station and convenience store around Gilbert and Warner roads, Sanger said, though police could not find a victim.

Police were later notified by officials at Scottsdale Healthcare-Osborn hospital they had a patient with a gunshot to his back. He was expected to be OK, Sanger said.

Investigators were able to identify Lewis as a suspect in both shootings after interviewing the victims, several witnesses and Lewis.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call the Gilbert Police Department at 480-503-6500.
