Suspected Lubbock bank robber captured in Southern California

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police and the U.S. Marshal's Office has confirmed that suspected bank robber Russell Eugene Heath has been captured in Southern California.

He was apprehended by Border Patrol agents Thursday morning as he was attempting to cross the border from Mexico to the United States.

He was in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest and is being held by the U.S. Marshals in Southern California.

Heath expected to be extradited back to Texas to face multiple charges.
