The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests have lifted an emergency closure of several Arizona campgrounds in the wake of a debris slide.
The campgrounds that are back open are Diamond Rock, Aspen and Deer Creek on the East Fork of the Black River and Forest Service Road 276, between the junction with FSR 37 and Raccoon campground, the U.S. Forest Service said.
The East Fork Campgrounds are a popular area and the Forest Service said the closure was imposed to ensure public safety and the safety to its personnel.
