Man's body found in bushes of gated Chandler neighborhood

CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -

A woman walking her dog found the body of man near a green belt in a gated Chandler community Monday morning.

The woman was walking her dog about 6 a.m. when she came across the body in some bushes near Balboa Way and Kaibab Drive, said Chandler Police Sgt. Joe Favazzo.

Favazzo said police received a call about 3 a.m. about a man stumbling and falling the same area, just west of Alma School Road and south of Ocotillo Road, and that police believe it could be the same person.

The man was described as white and in his 20s.

No cause of death had been determined. Favazzo said the investigation was continuing and that it would take several hours before any new details would be revealed.

    A Troup man is behind bars this morning after he allegedly sexually assaulted a child. Micah Gage Shelburn, 19, is currently in the Smith County Jail on charges of sexual assault of a child as well as kidnapping charges. KLTV reached out to the Arp Police Department.
