LORMAN, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Former Madison Central running back Joe Price is entering his second season at Alcorn State, and he is planning for big things in Lorman this season.

Price transferred to Alcorn State from Memphis before the 2012 season..

He had his ups and down in 2012

Price had 340 all purpose yards as a sophomore, but he has the big play ability the Braves need to make a run at the SWAC title.

"That was my first year playing college football and stuff like that. I had to catch on to the speed and all that. I feel like this year, everything is going to be moving slow. It's up to me to play fast and figure things out," said Price.

"He did some really good things, and he has to be a big play guy for us. That's what I keep telling him. He's a guy that when he gets it you have to make sure something happens big with the ball," said ASU head coach Jay Hopson.
