H.S. Tour: Jim Hill Tigers

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

John Jennings wants improvement for his Jim Hill Tigers in 2013.

The Tigers finished last season 6-6, earning a spot in the playoffs.

Now they are hungrier than ever.

"Guys playing hard. Guys competing. Guys wanting to win. We are trying to turn it around here," said Jennings.

"We have to be disciplined. We have to work hard," junior T.J. McPherson stated.

To be good, junior Pablo Williams, Jr., will have to dominate at left tackle. He is a key to that Tiger offense.

"I just try to have good footwork. I know guys are going to use speed. So, just try to get back and just work with my hands," said Williams, Jr.

"He's the type of guy, he has the grades. He has the size. He could be at Oklahoma or LSU. He has to get that dog in him. He has to get that fight. If he gets more fight in him, we can run behind him all day," said Jennings.

On the defensive side, it's the McPherson brothers playing a key role. Junior defensive end T.J. and senior linebacker Eric.

The two combined for 159 tackles and eight sacks last season.

"They are what you want in defensive players. They go 100 miles per hour, and they just love playing ball," Jennings said with a grin.
