Parade of Homes benefits children's camps

Two East Texas children's camps have each received more than $5,000 dollars from the Tyler Area Builder’s Association.

Each year, the Parade of Homes event, contributes a portion of their profits from ticket sales to charity.

Azleway Boy’s Ranch, in Tyler, and Rockin’ C. Ranch Camp Courageous were presented their checks today.

“I think they come out to see what maybe some of the color trends, the brick trends, the roofing trends, the technology trends, in construction are, but I think they feel good about spending their money to see those things, knowing that a portion of the proceeds are going to a charity,” Kerry Hamblett, VP of TABA and this year’s Parade of Homes Chairman, said.

This marked the parade’s 60th Anniversary and this year 4,500 tickets were sold.
