Elite Underclassmen Media Day

MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Some of the state's top high school football players gathered at D1 in Madison for the very first Mississippi Elite Underclassmen Media Day.

The event was put on by Varsity Preps for the top juniors and under from the state.

The main goal is to prepare the guys for the recruiting process and also let the mingle with the best of the best.

"It's something that is very needed. Most of these kids have two or three years left in high school, so the earlier they can learn about the process the better," said event coordinator Demetric Warren.
