LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas woman was arrested after she and another woman attempted to use counterfeit money at a restaurant.

According to the Longview Police Department, 20-year-old Dacquri Ryhn Wright, of Ore City, was arrested on Monday after officers responded to a forgery in progress at a fast-food restaurant.

Officers were dispatched to a Burger King located in the 700 block of West Marshall Avenue. Upon arrival, restaurant employees told police that several females in a green 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt had attempted to pay for their fast-food order with a counterfeit $100 bill.

Wright, the car's driver, was located in the drive-thru of the Burger King, but another woman had already fled. An additional passenger of the vehicle was released at the scene.

Wright is being held in the Gregg County Jail on one charge of forgery of a government instrument.

Longview Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact them immediately at 903-237-1199.
