(WMC-TV) - The ever evolving world of off-season free agency is putting Memphis in the cross hairs for top NBA talent as the summer runs out.

The Memphis Grizzlies are using patience to wait out the market on finding quality backup help now at point guard, and the move may pay off.

Mo Williams is reportedly set to fly in to Memphis Monday night to meet with Grizz brass about donning the Beale Street Blue.

Williams is a 10 year veteran with a 13.8 career scoring average which includes 5 assists per game and a 39 percent 3 point shooting clip.

The Jackson, Mississippi native who starred at Alabama has played for four NBA clubs.

He went back to the team that originally drafted him, the Utah Jazz last year after a couple seasons with the LA Clippers.

Williams also teamed with LeBron James to help Cleveland make the NBA Finals in 2009 with a 66-16 record.

He earned All-Star honors that season averaging almost 18 ppg.
