Woman arrested for using counterfeit money at drive-thru, another still on the loose

Posted: Updated:

Two women tried to use counterfeit money at a Longview restaurant's drive-thru window Monday.

Longview police were called to the Burger King near the corner of Highway 80 and Spur 63 at around 5:00p.m., where some women were reportedly trying to use a fake $100 bill at the drive-thru.

By the time they got there, however, the main perpetrator, a woman possessing the fake cash, had fled.  The car's driver and a passenger were still present.

A second fake $100 bill was found in a greeting card inside the car.

The driver was arrested, and the passenger was released at the scene.

The driver is described as a white female with blonde hair. Longview Police are investigating and ask that if you have any information on this crime, please call them at (903) 237-1199.
