The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office made three arrests from two search warrants at two homes Tuesday morning, seizing marijuana, cocaine, meth, codeine and guns.
Sheriff Jason Bridges said the first search warrant was executed in the 2100 block of Banita Street around 7:30 a.m. Bridges said the suspect, Brian Alhashimi, 34, tried to run from officers and destroy evidence and fought with deputies, but deputies were able to handcuff him. Bridges said a search yielded a quarter-pound of marijuana, scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Alhashimi is charged with state-jail felony, possession of marijuana, Class-A resisting arrest and third-degree tampering with evidence.
Deputies served a second search warrant around 10:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Cleaver Street and found nine large crack cocaine cookies, eight grams of meth, 240 grams of codeine and two loaded handguns.
Deputies arrested Douglas Hudson, 35, and Dawn Dearmon Hudson, 26. Dawn Hudson is charged with first- and second-degree possession of a controlled substance. Douglas Hudson is charged with first-degree manufacturing of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
