Two students at Lakota West High School have beaten the odds this year with ACT scores.
Less than one-tenth of one percent of junior-level students nationwide get a perfect score on the college readiness assessment. Lakota West had not one, but two students receive the top composite score of 36 this year.
Fifteen-year-old Isaiah Raimey joined fellow senior Surabhi Tewari post a perfect ACT score.
"Only 781 of 1.66
million students across the county earned a 36," said Lakota West Principal
Elgin Card. "Isaiah is the second student from West to accomplish that this
year. That's just incredible."
