Rumors are circulating that one of Tyler's landmark restaurants could soon re-open.
Last month, Gilbert's El Charro closed their doors after nearly 70 years of operating in East Texas.
However, earlier this week, an El Charro delivery trucked parked outside of Zaza's (a restaurant that just recently closed its doors) raised some questions.
Everyone is being very tight lipped about the future plans for Zaza's property until the paperwork is finalized. However, the management team of the property did confirm they are working with members of the family who owned El Charro.
El Charro's location on Erwin Street has been closed for several months. Their second location off of Fifth Street in Tyler closed on July 28.
El Charro, as well as the manager of the property rumored to be the future home of the Mexican restaurant, all declined interviews until the paperwork is complete, which is estimated to be sometime next week.
However, the owner of Tyler's new piano bar, The Keys, said she is already planning a menu with the future owners of that restaurant.
"We partner with Bruno's down the street," said Stephanie Bullington, owner of The Keys.
"We are a private club with memberships available. We provide a menu, but we don't provide food here personally, and we have also partnered with an upcoming restaurant that will be opening up right across the street from us as well. The customers will be extremely happy. They will have a great memory of their childhood," Bullington explained.
