Volleyball tourney coming to The Beach

MASON, OH (FOX19) -

The Beach Waterpark is hosting The National Volleyball League Championships this weekend. 

Beginning Friday, The National Volleyball League will begin their Midwest Championships and Junior Festival at The Beach Waterpark's premier, championship volleyball courts. 

Starting Friday, July 19th through July 21st, guests will get the exciting opportunity to see some of the world's best volleyball players compete in the unique and exciting venue of The Beach Waterpark.  

The event will bring nationally-recognized beach volleyball players and fans to the area. 

Men's – 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Riley Salmon, 2012 Olympian Dave McKienzie, NVL Champions Brian Bomgren and Tim Bomgren, Canadian National Team Andrew Hichney and Ryan Vandenburg. 

Women's – 2013 NVL Dallas Finalist Kendra VanZwieten/Olaya PazoMegan Wallin, Chara Harris, ROX athlete Michelle Lonergan, Kim DiCello and Kelly Schumacher. 

The winner of the tournament will get a $50,000 prize.

Tickets prices are different each day and are listed below:

  • Volleyball Admission - Friday, July 19th - Includes Admission to the NVL Volleyball Tournaments. Online Price: $10.00
  • Volleyball Admission – Saturday July 20th or Sunday, July 21st - Includes Admission to the NVL Volleyball Tournaments. Online Price: $20.00
  • Volleyball & Waterpark One Day Option - Includes Admission to The Beach and Volleyball Tickets valid only during one of the following days: July 19, 20, 21. Online Price: $33.99
  • Volleyball Admission Only - 3-Day Package - Includes Admission to the NVL Volleyball Tournaments. Tickets valid on July 19th, July 20th & July 21st. Online Price: $40.00 
  • Volleyball & Waterpark Weekend Package - Includes Admission to The Beach and Volleyball All Weekend. Tickets valid on July 19th, July 20th & July 21st. Online Price: $59.99

    The Longview Police Department has stated that both north and southbound lanes of West Loop 281 is closed. The road is closed from Cotton to Enterprise has been closed due to an accident.
