Santa is vacationing in Tyler

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

East Texans are enjoying Christmas in July this weekend.

The City of Tyler Parks and Recreation Department kicked off the fifth annual Christmas in July Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday.

More than 50 vendors, some local and some from out-of-state, have filled Tyler's Rose Garden Center with unique items for all ages.

"I have shopped for myself this time," said Debbie Isham with a laugh.

"I'm telling you, I just had to get my lavender goat's milk, that's one item. Then there's some other things that I've looked at and I've even called my parents, so it wasn't just for me," Isham said.

There are items for all ages, but the most popular stop for the kids? Santa Clause. Santa himself is vacationing in Tyler for the weekend.

If you missed out on Saturday, the fair will be open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The fair is free, but any donations made will benefit Tyler's Parks and Recreation Department.
