Reward increases as search for officer's killer continues

BARDSTOWN, KY (WAVE) - The reward for tips leading to an arrest in the murder of fallen Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis continues to grow as police search for his killer.

On Thursday Bardstown police reported the reward is now $135,000.

Ellis was found gunned down May 25. Police said he was ambushed while clearing debris from a ramp on the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County.

Anyone with any information on Ellis' murder is asked to either text information to 67283 with the letters KSPTIP in the text body followed by your information, contact Kentucky State Police at 1 (800) 222-5555 or email your tip to EllisCasetips@ky.gov.
