EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - Some of our northern counties saw a few light showers this morning, but those are continuing to dissipate. We will see another round of showers and maybe even a couple of thunderstorms develop this afternoon along an approaching front.
We are not expecting a wash out, nor will it be a widespread rain, but we will be getting some. Highs today will again top out in the middle to upper 90s with a few select locations again hitting the century mark.
Some of these showers and thunderstorms may linger into the early evening hours, but should be dissipating as we lose daytime heating. Skies will clear up a bit overnight with lows dropping into the middle to upper 70s.
The chances for a few more showers is in the forecast for your Friday, but they are smaller. It's looking like most of us will be dry as we wrap up the work week. Highs on Friday will again be in the middle to upper 90s.
