Middletown attacks possibly related

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) -

Middletown Police are investigating two reports of women being attacked by male suspects.

A woman reported that she was abducted and raped by two black males between Brewers Gin Mill and Busters Bar on June 29.

The woman did not want to pursue criminal charges and wanted to drop the police investigation.

On July 9, police received a separate report of another female victim who was walking in the area of Illinois Avenue and Texas Avenue and was attacked by two black males in their early twenties.

The victim suffered minor injuries. Police are continuing to process evidence received from the victim and interviewing potential witnesses.

The suspects are described as:

#1: A black male in his 20's wearing white basketball type shorts and a red t-shirt and a white ball cap with a red bill

#2: A black male in his 20's, wearing blue basketball type shorts and a black t-shirt and possibly wearing a baseball hat

Both were clean shaven and coming from the area of Webber and Illinois.

Police are seeking additional information to determine if the two incidents are connected.
