Quitman, Texas – Residents
of all ages from Wood County and surrounding areas are invited to attend a
community celebration and dedication of the new East Texas Medical Center Quitman,
Sunday, July 14, from 1 to 3 p.m.
"We are inviting the public
to join us as we celebrate the completion of our new hospital facility – a
major step in fostering ETMC's goal of providing the highest quality healthcare
to the people of Wood County," said Warren Robicheaux, administrator of ETMC Quitman.
will feature remarks and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. Following the
dedication, tours will be available of the beautiful, state-of-the-art facility,
with ETMC team members, physicians and volunteers assisting guests. In
addition, members of the Wood County Central Hospital District and ETMC Quitman
boards will be recognized during the event, along with others who have played a
role in the development of ETMC Quitman.
There will be lots
of fun activities for children including a balloon artist, face painting, tours
of an ETMC Air 1 helicopter and an ETMC EMS ambulance. Andy Ambulance also will
be on hand.
