Stayin' Alive: American Heart Assoc. teaches CPR in the Tri-State

Posted: Updated:

The American Heart Association is teaching people across the country how to save lives with hands-only CPR, including some in the Tri-State.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and parent company WellPoint donated a $4.5 million grant to help support the training in Ohio and several other states.

Employees from Cintas and Loxottica received expert training at the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield offices in Mason on Wednesday.

The American Heart Association uses the disco hit 'Stayin' Alive' by the Bee Gees as a guide for the rhythm used when administering CPR.
