Texas Relief Team In Florida

A team of East Texans is providing hot meals to thousands in central Florida in the aftermath of hurricanes Charley and Frances. 22 members of the East Texas disaster relief team have now set up field kitchens in Lake Wales Florida. They are offering everything from mobile showers to clean-up efforts.

But the hardest part is figuring out what to say to people who have lost practically everything they own.

"We're passing and meeting cars on the road where people have all their belongings in a truck with a tarp over it, people when they leave they just grab pictures, and we see others building up their courage and they're coming back," says relief team member Jerry Don Jones.

The mobile kitchens are expected to serve an estimated 1-million meals over the next week. The team may stay depending on what Ivan does.
