Fourth of July Weather Outlook

Posted: Updated:
EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -

The past few days have been very comfortable weather wiseacross East Texas and we look for near normal temperatures to continue for yourIndependence Day activities.

On Thursday, temperatures will start offbelow normal again with lows dipping into the middle and upper 60s across EastTexas.  Record low temperatures are not expected again tomorrow as we willprobably be around 3 degrees above record levels.  With that said, we willstill be running about 5 to 10 degrees below average for our morning lows on Thursday.

For the afternoon and evening we look for partly cloudyskies to develop and temperatures to warm up.  Highs will reach the lower90s with heat index values in the lower 90s as well.

There will be one ortwo pop up thundershowers during the afternoon and evening hours but they willbe very few and far between.  Shortly after sunset, any thunderstormsactivity should weaken with the loss of daytime heat allowing for eveningfirework displays to go off without a hitch.

Temperatures will be in themiddle to upper 80s around sunset tomorrow cooling off to near middle to upper70s by Midnight.  Have a happy and safe 4th of July!
