Ringleader of Hate Crime Murder Gets Execution Date

A man convicted of being the ringleader in a high profile murder case eleven years ago learned his execution date.  The execution of Danald Aldrich has been set for October 12, 2004.   The date was set yesterday by  Judge Cynthia Kent.

Aldrich and two other men were convicted of kidnapping, beating and killing 23-year-old Nicholas West of Tyler because he was gay.
