Huntington man killed in motorcycle accident Saturday

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Huntington man was killed Saturday afternoon after he lost control of his motorcycle on FM-1818 south of Huntington. 

DPS says William Arthur Harrison, 72, of Huntington was driving his 2003 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on FM-1818 when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the road way. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. 

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported. 

According to DPS, Harrison was the co-owner of Massingill's Meat Market in Lufkin.
